Click here for more information. Close(X) Choosing between MP3 and CD Most of our titles are available as either a CD or an MP3. You will see the option of "Buy CD" or "Buy MP3" against each title. Some of our titles are available only on an MP3 and for these titles there will be no "Buy CD" button. Sometimes it can be difficult to decide which option is best for you. To help you make your decision we have created the following guide that explains the difference between the two. We also include instructions on how to download and use an MP3 at the bottom of this page should you decide to go for the MP3 option. First and foremost, the tracks on the MP3 and then CD are identical, so there is no difference there at all. Either option gives you exactly the same content. If you choose the CD option, you always have the CD and the case but the downside is that you have to pay postage and wait for the CD to arrive in the post. CDs over time can also get scratched, at which point they are useless. The MP3 option gives you instant access via download so there is no waiting for the item to arrive in the post and you also save on the postage and packing charge. MP3s have the added advantage of also being able to "burn" them onto a blank CD, so in effect with the MP3 option you can effectively have both an MP3 and a CD. Plus, with an MP3 you can transfer it to as many of your devices as you like, so you can listen to it on your PC or Mac, transfer it to your MP3 player, ipad or iphone. This makes the MP3 option the more flexible of the two. We hope that helps you make your decision between choosing an MP3 or a CD. If you choose the MP3 option and need instructions on how to download, please see below: 1. When you purchase an MP3, you will be taken to a download page and be sent an email containing the link to download the MP3. Simply follow the instructions. This will usually involve simply right clicking on the link to the MP3 and pressing "save as". Set your file destination as desktop and then press "save". This will download your MP3 to the desired location. The files are around 20mb in size so depending on internet speed this may take a few minutes. 2. Download and install itunes if you do not already have it. itunes is a free download and can be downloaded at www.itunes.com 3. Follow the simple instructions to install itunes. Once itunes is installed you are ready to import your MP3 to itunes. 4. Once the download is complete you will see the MP3 icon for the file on your desktop (or whatever file destination you set in step 1). 5. Open itunes. Then create a new playlist by selecting file > New Playlist. You can then name your playlist whatever you want i.e. Rick Collingwood or hypnosis for example. 6. Now scroll down until you see the playlist that you just created and left click on it. This will open the playlist, which at this point will be empty. 7. Go to your desktop and drag and drop the MP3 file into itunes (left click over the title and drag until it is in place and then release). This will now copy your file into itunes 8. Repeat for as many titles as you have. 9. You will now see your title(s) in your playlist and can listen to them through your PC or Mac, transfer them to another MP3 player of iphone, or burn the titles to a CD. As a general rule only 1 title (track 1 & 2) will fit on a CD, so you will have to burn a separate CD for each title you want to create a CD for. Enjoy your MP3!
