Is Hypnotherapy Real Or Is It Just All Nonsence

January 28th, 2010

Many people get confused about hypnosis and what hypnotherapy really is. It is important to remember that hypnosis is not a state of deep sleep. In hypnosis, the subject is put into a trance like state, but is fully aware of the state that he or she is in, and can fully hear the therapist’s voice. The subject will remember the experience, and is not the same as stage hypnosis where you will often see subjects placed in a deep state of hypnosis.

Hypnotherapy itself began as far as 6,000 years ago by the ancient Egyptians who first discovered the possibility of suggestive thoughts. James Braid is known as “the father of hypnosis” and he discovered that patients could undergo medical operations with hypnotherapy taking the place of the traditional anesthetics.

Hypnotherapy itself is all about promoting healing and positive development in your body. It is about taping into ones subconscious mind, and re-programming it to reach their maximum inner potential. The subconscious mind covers around 80% of your brain in total, and has two functions, which are to record and remember all of your life experiences and to protect you from any fears you have in your mind.

With hypnotherapy it is possible to re-programme your mind and get rid of fears, phobias, traumatic issues, negative thoughts and much more. During the hypnosis state, your body begins to feel lighter and lighter, and you feel like your negative issues are falling out of your body. As you exhale, your negative emotions and thoughts exit the body, and as you inhale, these same thoughts return to your mind but they are positive.

Some people can be nervous or scared about using hypnotherapy to help with traumatic issues and it is important to remember that no-one can by hypnotised if they are not willing to allow it, or if they do not truly believe in hypnosis and the power of it. Generally speaking, around 90% of all people can be hypnotised. Generally speaking the best people for hypnosis are those who find it easy to concentrate, and those willing to believe in the power of hypnosis.

Can Hypnotherapy Really Re-programme Your Mind

January 26th, 2010

Hypnotherapy is a type of psychological therapy that is applied to a subject in hypnosis. Hypnosis is simply a mental state of the mind where a set of thoughts and suggestions can be induced, which can lead to long and meaningful changes to that subject.

It is known as one the safest, fastest and extremely effective forms of treatment, which addresses the majority of psychological problems. It can help to address issues such as self-confidence, weight problems, addictions, pain and much more. Hypnotherapy was used in the 1880’s to remove pain from patients when they were having operations, and now today it is used in a variety of different fields such as medicine, dentistry and education.

The majority of all people can be hypnotised. Hypnotherapy targets your subconscious mind, and simply re-programmes your mind for the better. It can be used to gain access to one’s inner potential and try and re-programme one’s mind to reach their full potential.

Whilst there are many different forms of psychological therapies, hypnotherapy is unique in that it targets the subject’s subconscious mind. The therapist can then put suggestive ideas into the subjects mind during this sleep like state. The subject must be motivated to make these changes during hypnosis, and if followed correctly, hypnosis can change your life overnight. The subject must also feel totally comfortable with the therapist during hypnosis, and must be willing the following the instructions as advised by the therapist.

Hypnotherapy is a great medication for those subjects who wish to overcome traumatic past issues that they may otherwise block out. Hypnotherapy is able to identity the root of a traumatic issue and once it has been identified, the therapist can help the subject to release the emotion and anger behind the issue.

Hypnotherapy is also a great fundamental tool to overcome phobias. The reasoning behind this is that the majority of phobias are the result of past incidents that have occurred that one was not able to cope with effectively. Hypnotherapy techniques can be used to find out what issues lie behind your phobias, and then they can be applied to help emotional healing so that these issues can be coped with in a less emotional manner, and that they no longer become phobias.

If you want to break free, hypnosis may be the answer

November 27th, 2009

If you want to stop smoking, if you want to achieve weight loss or if you want to learn how to deal with stress, hypnosis could be the answer to your prayers.  Not the type of hypnosis where you run around a stage thinking you are a canary or the kind of hypnosis where someone is controlling your mind, but medically proven hypnotherapy that helps you relax and take control over your body, your mind and your life.

In a hypnotherapy session, you will learn to relax and learn new ways to react to the desire to smoke or eat or whatever it is that you need to control.  Hypnotherapy and hypnosis have been medically proven to be the safest, most effective ways of gaining control of behaviour.  This new-found control could have a dramatic, positive affect on your life in an amazingly short time.

However, finding a reliable, well-qualified person to teach you can be a problem.  Finding out who is good in your area and getting to see them may not be easy, and they are not on tap 24/7 to help you when you are struggling.  The hypnosis CDs and MP3 tracks available by Rick Collingwood, a world renowned therapeutic consultant working in hypnotherapy.  He has had success with thousands of people worldwide.  The fact that CDs can be played any time means that if you are struggling, you can use them whenever you have the need.  Hypnotherapy CDs could be just what you need.

Don’t distress, de-stress!

November 26th, 2009

Stress is not a happy experience when it starts to adversely affect everything you do and everything you think about.  There is a useful function to stress; psychologists identified the ‘Fight or Flight Syndrome’ many years ago.  This is when the body physically and mentally reacts to a fear inducing situation by preparing to either fight the foe or run away very quickly.  Our adrenaline increases and our blood flow concentrates itself on our essential organs to help us react strongly.

However, they also identified that people in a permanent level of high arousal actually suffer from more illnesses and are much more likely to suffer from heart disease (Coronary Type A Types) than those who could switch off the reaction and really relax (Coronary Type B Types).  High levels of stress over a long period of time make our bodies act like Coronary Type A people and so they are bad for us.

It is not as simple as taking a pill and getting better. What we really need to do is learn to relax - not the type of relaxation we get on the sofa watching the TV but the type we get when we can switch off and deeply relax our minds.

The easiest, proven way to do this is through mild hypnosisHypnosis allows us to go into a gentle trance-like state where the mind switches off and relaxes as well as the body.  Studies show that this helps with things like speedy recovery from surgery and the alleviation of depression.  teach you how to achieve full relaxation, get rid of the stress and help you to control your reaction to stressful situations.  Mild Rick Collingwood’s relaxation CDs and MP3 trackshypnosis can help you de-stress easily.

Hypnosis can help you achieve happiness

November 25th, 2009

We all experience unhappiness at some point in our lives.  Failed relationships, bereavement, job loss, stress, low self-esteem can all lead us to unhappiness and even despair.  But we can pull ourselves up by the boot straps and get on with our lives and, if we are lucky, our unhappiness turns into just one of life’s little blips.

Sadly, for some people, this attitude does not work.  There are thousands of people who are so unhappy for such long periods that it seems that they can never be free of it and experience true happiness again.  But there is a medically proven solution at hand with hypnosis.  Hypnosis stems from the Greek word for ‘Sleep’, it is essentially a way of truly relaxing the mind.

Hypnosis can be coupled with cognitive restricting of the mind, or more simply, with getting the mind to change how we react to situations and experiences.  Once this is accomplished, we find that we do not see the situation we are in as unending and overwhelming and we can once again take charge of our lives.

Rick Collingwood has worked for years in the fields of hypnosis and mental health.  He has released hypnosis CDs and MP3 tracks that allow you to relax into the appropriate state of mind where changing how you think and react, and therefore how you behave and feel, can be easily achieved.  So if you are unhappy and suffering from the anxiety that comes with that you will find that a gentle course of hypnosis will have you feeling back on top of the world without you even trying.

You were not born a smoker

November 24th, 2009

However early you started smoking, you were not born a smoker and you don’t have to die a smoker.  The majority of smokers in the UK want to quit and never start again.  If you have tried to stop smoking, you will know that when you stop, you don’t crave every cigarette that you had previously smoked.

Let’s put this another way.  When you give up you will notice that there are certain times you really, really, want to smoke a cigarette.  For some people it is after a meal or with a drink; for others it is when they are driving the car and for some it is when they have put the tea on and they are waiting for it to cook.  Whenever it is, if you add them up in a day they certainly do not equal the number of cigarettes you normally smoke.

This is because we are in the habit of lighting a cigarette at these times; it is part of our normal routine and behaviour.  Our smoking habits are actually far more of a problem when we try to stop smoking than the actual nicotine addiction, and it is our behaviour that is most likely to be our downfall when we try to quit.

As an experienced therapeutic consultant who has helped thousands kick the habit, Rick Collingwood is only too well aware of how strongly ingrained in our subconscious these habits are and how difficult they are to change.  He uses mild hypnotherapy in his hypnosis CDs and MP3 tracks to help you to restructure these automatic habits, so that they react in a totally different way to the situations that would normally make them light a cigarette.

Hypnotherapy can help

November 23rd, 2009

Hypnotherapy involves putting the mind into a condition of deep relaxation.  This is sometimes called a trance and all of us have actually been in a trance at some point.  Without being aware of it, we have stopped thinking and drifted off to ‘somewhere else’ in our minds.  Ever been watching a TV programme and realised that you have no idea what has been going on? That is a trance.

In the medical profession, hypnotherapy is now widely accepted and studies have shown that it is a powerful tool in helping us to alter our own behaviour or how we react to situations - getting over a fear of flying for example.  Rick Collingwood is a renowned therapeutic consultant and thousands have benefitted from sessions with him helping them stop smoking, lose weight, regain their self-confidence and even deal with terminal illness.

His therapeutic sessions are available on CD and have won awards because they are so effective in helping individuals to help themselves.  Using the CDs and, more recently, downloads straight to your MP3 player, can be the first step to taking control over your life and your behaviour.  They are one of the simplest ways of stopping smoking for life or learning to lose weight and maintain your weight loss.

Our hypnosis CDs and MP3 tracks are incredible value for money and currently represent three packets of cigarettes, now if you are smoking 20 cigarettes a day that means Rick could not only help you kick the habit, but the savings could pay for next year’s holiday.  Now that’s worth thinking about!

Too tired to sleep

November 20th, 2009

Too tired to sleep

When you have night after night when you can’t sleep or you keep waking up, you get to the point where you are too tired to sleep.  Your brain is whirring like a hamster on a wheel and you just can’t switch off, it is a real pain and it is called insomnia.  What you need is something to help you relax and switch your brain off so you can get some solid, restful sleep.

You could try the chemist or visit your Doctor for something to knock you out, but if you have tried that you probably found that while you did sleep, you still woke up feeling dreadful with a thick head and no benefits.  If you want something that really works and has been medically demonstrated to be one of the most effective ways of dealing with insomnia, then you should try hypnosis.

Real hypnosis is a medically proven tool to deal with all sorts of things and works especially well for those of you with disturbed sleep patterns.  It isn’t the stuff that stage acts are made of, it is a simple method for relaxing your mind.  Rick Collingwood has worked with thousands of people suffering from insomnia and has an extraordinarily-high success rate, but not everyone can get to see him so he has devised some brilliant CDs that are like being in a session with him, but can be used at home.

The hypnosis CDs and MP3 tracks can teach you how to let your mind relax so that your body can take over and get the restful sleep that you need.  Soon, you will be able to drop off without a second thought.

Exercise doesn’t always keep you slim

November 19th, 2009

Look on the shelves at exercise DVDs and you will be struck by the number of semi-famous faces you see from the UK soaps, or fading singers repackaging themselves in a new body.  Let’s face it, most of them look fabulous after an amazing weight loss. They are slim, toned and radiantly healthy.  Fast forward a couple of years and they are unlikely to look the same, now appearing on ‘celebrity’ dance, singing or jungle programmes - they are back to being overweight like how they were before.

They achieved their weight loss with dieticians, cooks and personal trainers, but they have still put back all the weight and often more.  It doesn’t look good for people like you and me - if they cannot get a permanent weight loss with all that help we don’t stand a chance.

Actually, we stand more than a chance. We just need to know why they put the weight back on, and the answer is simple. They didn’t change their minds about food and how they respond to it.  They may have had short-term motivation but they didn’t have long-term learning.  Rick Collingwood can teach you how to lose your fat forever through his hypnosis CDs and MP3 tracks.

The ‘trick’ is simple you just teach your sub-conscious mind to react differently when your body is telling it to stuff another chocolate bar in your mouth.  Sounds impossible but with his CDs your mind doesn’t even know it is learning new habits until one day you notice that instead of eating you are doing something else and that is just what naturally slim people do.  You too can be naturally slim.

Dump the stress

November 18th, 2009

Stress affects every one of us at some time.  We may say that we are stressed, we may even think about trying to make an effort to relax but stress can be very hard to deal with.  In our increasingly busy lives, one thing we rarely have time to do is relax and let all our stresses and troubles wash away.

We need to be aware that stress is actually a reaction to what is going on around us.  Although it causes physical symptoms it is not an illness like a virus or infection.  It cannot be dealt with drugs, although they are often prescribed to help with the physical results of stress, so you need to learn how to get rid of stress by relaxing.

In this context. relaxing is not a night on the couch in front of the TV but letting the mind ‘switch off’, allowing the body to stop responding to the signals that there is a problem and we need to be ready to respond – which is what is happening when we are experiencing stress.  It is a proven fact that this can be done by meditation.  If you are new to meditation it is initially difficult to do effectively.

Rick Collingwood has been teaching relaxation through mild hypnosis for years and has some fantastic hypnosis CDs and MP3 tracks that teach you how to do this yourself in the comfort of your own space.  The sessions are highly-effective and leave your mind deeply relaxed and your body refreshed.  We would recommend them to anyone who is experiencing problems with stress as hypnosis has been proved to be many times more effective than any other method of relieving this problem.
