Insomnia Cure – When Sleep Is Mandatory

Without sleep the human body cannot survive, that is simple fact. Many people joke about having insomnia, but often people have no idea how debilitating insomnia can be for an individual. Anyone can suffer periodic bouts of sleeplessness such as those caused by anxiety, perhaps before exams or the excitement of an event coming up.

Insomnia on the other hand is a chronic problem with far reaching consequences.   Over a period of time of not having sufficient sleep your concentration levels drop off steeply and it starts showing in your poorer work performance. When your body becomes sleep deprived it can no longer do the maintenance that goes on while you sleep, it can no longer heal and rejuvenate your cells.

Doctors prescribe many different forms of sleeping medication for insomnia. These have far reaching effects. Some are addictive over time and these medications suppress dreaming and rapid eye movement during sleep. These pills also become less effective over time and then people take higher dosages to sleep.
