Exercise doesn’t always keep you slim

November 19th, 2009

Look on the shelves at exercise DVDs and you will be struck by the number of semi-famous faces you see from the UK soaps, or fading singers repackaging themselves in a new body.  Let’s face it, most of them look fabulous after an amazing weight loss. They are slim, toned and radiantly healthy.  Fast forward a couple of years and they are unlikely to look the same, now appearing on ‘celebrity’ dance, singing or jungle programmes - they are back to being overweight like how they were before.

They achieved their weight loss with dieticians, cooks and personal trainers, but they have still put back all the weight and often more.  It doesn’t look good for people like you and me - if they cannot get a permanent weight loss with all that help we don’t stand a chance.

Actually, we stand more than a chance. We just need to know why they put the weight back on, and the answer is simple. They didn’t change their minds about food and how they respond to it.  They may have had short-term motivation but they didn’t have long-term learning.  Rick Collingwood can teach you how to lose your fat forever through his hypnosis CDs and MP3 tracks.

The ‘trick’ is simple you just teach your sub-conscious mind to react differently when your body is telling it to stuff another chocolate bar in your mouth.  Sounds impossible but with his CDs your mind doesn’t even know it is learning new habits until one day you notice that instead of eating you are doing something else and that is just what naturally slim people do.  You too can be naturally slim.

Dump the stress

November 18th, 2009

Stress affects every one of us at some time.  We may say that we are stressed, we may even think about trying to make an effort to relax but stress can be very hard to deal with.  In our increasingly busy lives, one thing we rarely have time to do is relax and let all our stresses and troubles wash away.

We need to be aware that stress is actually a reaction to what is going on around us.  Although it causes physical symptoms it is not an illness like a virus or infection.  It cannot be dealt with drugs, although they are often prescribed to help with the physical results of stress, so you need to learn how to get rid of stress by relaxing.

In this context. relaxing is not a night on the couch in front of the TV but letting the mind ‘switch off’, allowing the body to stop responding to the signals that there is a problem and we need to be ready to respond – which is what is happening when we are experiencing stress.  It is a proven fact that this can be done by meditation.  If you are new to meditation it is initially difficult to do effectively.

Rick Collingwood has been teaching relaxation through mild hypnosis for years and has some fantastic hypnosis CDs and MP3 tracks that teach you how to do this yourself in the comfort of your own space.  The sessions are highly-effective and leave your mind deeply relaxed and your body refreshed.  We would recommend them to anyone who is experiencing problems with stress as hypnosis has been proved to be many times more effective than any other method of relieving this problem.

The reasons your diet won’t work

November 17th, 2009

If you have read pretty much anything about weight loss, you can be forgiven for thinking that it is all about food.  In fact, being told that weight loss is only partially about what you consume and how much you exercise may come as a huge shock.

The reason most of us are overweight is primarily because of how our mind controls our actions.  Putting the wrong food into our mouths at the wrong times is just the result of what our brain is telling us to do.  Eating too much is a learned behaviour.  Once you accept that you have to learn new behaviours, you achieve permanent weight loss.

Unfortunately it is very difficult to do as our minds are very resistant to change and our reactions to food are sub-conscious. We don’t realise they happen, let alone know how to change them.  This is why the fantastic weight loss CDs from Rick Collingwood are so incredibly effective in promoting weight loss and in keeping the weight off once it has gone.

Rick is a world renowned hypnotherapist consultant and his recordings have won both accolades and a huge following round the world.  Put simply, they are like one-to-one sessions where you are taught to relax into a state where your mind is ready to accept reprogramming.  This means that your mind learns to react differently to food.  Instead of eating when you are not hungry you will learn to automatically do something else. This is a system that truly works and keeps you at the correct weight so it is worth looking into further.

Mind over matter

November 16th, 2009

Mind over matter‘.  Now this might be an old saying but the fact is that our minds and brains can help us accomplish all sorts of things that we thought we could never do.  Unfortunately, our minds can actually stop us being successful without us even being aware of it.

Our subconscious minds can make us overweight, unhappy, smokers, stressed or unable to sleep and we don’t even know that it is happening.  If we don’t know that we are doing it then we are going to struggle to stop.  This may all sound bizarre but let’s take weight loss as an example.  If all that was needed to be slim was to eat less then we would all be the perfect weight, but the world is full of fat people who want to be slim.

If you start a diet you may feel hungry occasionally, but most overweight people don’t just eat when they are hungry so it is not our response to hunger that piles on the pounds.  It is our learned response to a whole array of things.  We are watching the TV so we eat a few biscuits, we are on the bus or in the car so we eat a bar of chocolate. If this sounds familiar then you need to look at Rick Collingwood’s weight loss hypnosis CD and learn how not to respond to anything other than hunger by eating.  It is brilliant, it works and best of all it is easy.

Want to quit smoking? Read on

November 13th, 2009

According to a recent health survey, 66% of all the smokers in the UK want to quit.  Every week thousands are attending clinics to try nicotine patches, replacement cigarettes or chewing gum that the NHS recommends.  Unfortunately, very few stop smoking.  Yes, there is a percentage that manage to quit, but what if you are one of the ones who have tried and failed?  You can end up believing that you are too weak-willed to stop smoking or, even worse, deciding that you didn’t really want to stop at all.

Smoking is bad for your health and the health of those around you, but it is such a hard thing for us to stop smoking.  An interesting comment from Rick Collingwood is that we were not always smokers and that’s what we need to remember.  He offers hypnosis sessions through his remarkably effective CDs and MP3 tracks that have helped countless numbers of people kick the habit and never light another cigarette.

The reason that hypnosis helps you to stop smoking is simple; when the mind is relaxed it is less resistant to change than at other times.  Rick’s system uses this and introduces an idea into your mind that means that every time your mind says that it wants a cigarette, you respond by doing something else, without even thinking about it.

The nicotine cravings actually go in a surprisingly short time; it is our minds or rather our habits that get in the way of us giving up successfully.  Conquer the mind without even thinking about it and you conquer the habit with hypnosis CDs.

Hypnotherapy and weight loss

November 12th, 2009

Hypnotherapy helps us to relax, not just physically but mentally and when the mind is relaxed it can accept new information more easily than at other times.  This is why the techniques can be used to help us literally change our minds about being overweight.  Weight loss is not just about losing pounds of fat, it is also about being a slim person.  Slim people have a different attitude to food. That is why they are slim and why they remain slim.

The truth about being overweight is that you eat too many calories than the exercise you do, the excess calories are stored as fat.  If it was that simple then we could all stop eating as much and get more exercise and, hey presto, we would be slim and stay slim. But that doesn’t actually happen.

It is more complicated, when we diet we feel deprived.  When we feel deprived, we feel miserable and so we eat.  This is because our subconscious minds have got into this habit and ‘naturally’ slim people have different habits.  Imagine this, every time you want to eat something when you are not hungry you automatically, without thinking, reach for a glass of water rather than food.  Now, that would help you lose weight and would keep you slim.

This is the sort of new behaviour you learn using the hypnosis CDs and MP3 tracks of our hypnotherapist Rick Collingwood.  His system works and is easy to use so if you want to lose the weight and never get it back you should consider getting his weight loss system right now.

How hypnotherapy can help you stop smoking

November 11th, 2009

Hypnotherapy is not the stuff that TV programmes and cabaret shows are made of, it is a highly-scientific method of altering behaviour used in the medical profession by rigorously trained therapists.   The basic idea of hypnotherapy is that it relaxes the subject to such an extent that their minds are receptive to new information without their natural resistance to change getting in the way.

To stop smoking is difficult because it involves retraining your brain not to respond to a situation by lighting a cigarette.  It is not just nicotine smokers who are addicted to the habits that we develop as smokers that are just as addictive, we simply don’t realise how strong they are until we try to change them.  If you have ever tried to stop smoking and failed using nicotine replacement; you may have noticed that in certain situations you reach for the cigarettes. This is exactly what we are talking about.

It is our mind’s expectation of a cigarette in a particular situation that is more difficult to overcome than nicotine.  And this is the reason that people who have stopped for years at a time suddenly find themselves lighting up again.  Our subconscious mind is so powerful that we can often struggle to resist it.  Thus, we need to retrain our mind from the minute we give up in order to achieve that non-smoker status we are trying to achieve.

Rick Collingwood’s hypnotherapy CDs do exactly this and have helped thousands not only stop smoking but retained their minds to stay a non-smoker, too.

Nicotine is not the reason you can’t stop smoking

November 10th, 2009

If you believe the adverts selling you products to help you stop smoking, you would think that it was simply the nicotine in the cigarettes that has you addicted.  Unfortunately that is not true.  Yes, smokers are addicted to Nicotine and the cells in our brains do cry out for it, but if that was the complete answer we could all just stick on a nicotine patch and never want to light up again.

Thousands of people have tried patches, chewing gum and ‘pretend cigarettes’ that give us the nicotine, and some manage to stop smoking but most are back buying another pack of cigarettes before they know it.  The nicotine has been replaced but they still haven’t become non-smokers, so there must be more to it than nicotine addiction.

There is and Rick Collingwood, an expert in therapeutic solutions to problems like trying to stop smoking or losing weight, knows exactly what is going on and has devised a brilliant programme to help us help ourselves.  For years he has worked with individuals, but then he realised that he cannot help everyone in his one-to-one sessions.  So he has developed a method of teaching us, individually, his techniques.

He simply trains you to react to wanting a cigarette by automatically drinking a glass of water.  If you think it sounds bizarre, rest assured that thousands have tried it and have not lit another cigarette.

A simple solution to insomnia

November 9th, 2009

All of us experience sleep disturbances at some time or another.  But when they go on and on for days, weeks or even months, they can leave us exhausted.  Worse, lack of sleep results in poor concentration and coordination and can reduce our reaction times.  All of this makes us more likely to have an accident on the road or make mistakes at work.

When you are suffering from insomnia the only solution that medicine offers is drugs that may put us to sleep, but can leave us feeling dreadful the following morning.  The kind of sleep they induce is not the restful deep sleep that we need to wake bright and refreshed the following day.  Additionally, many of them are highly addictive and just replace one problem with another problem.

Fortunately, there is an easy and effective solution.  Rick Collingwood has worked for years helping individuals with insomnia and providing them with the means to get a restful night’s sleep and break the cycle that causes insomnia in the first place.

Obviously, Rick cannot see everyone that needs him so he has developed a series of hypnosis CDs and MP3s that deal with the problems his clients generally need help resolving, including insomnia.  These are very similar to being in a session with the man himself and are highly effective.  Thousands upon thousands have been helped by his amazing systems and never looked back.  If you need help to overcome your insomnia, this is a brilliant way of getting back into natural restful sleep patterns.

Happiness is all in the mind

November 6th, 2009

We only come this way once and life is not a dress rehearsal, but countless numbers of people spend their lives feeling inadequate or suffering from low self-esteem.  They never seem to be happy and constantly feel out of step with the rest of the world.  Interestingly, they were not always like this and there was a time when they felt just as good and worthwhile as the next person.  Something along their life path has made them change their own perception of themselves and, from then on, they live as they see themselves.

This can manifest itself in all sorts of ways, from lack of confidence through to major panics.  But if you feel like this is a description of how you feel, you also don’t know that it is easy to exchange your current life for one which brings you happiness and makes you feel good about yourself every single day.

Rick Collingwood has spent many years using his expertise as a hypnotherapy consultant to treat clients with just these problems.  When he realised that he could not personally see everyone that needed his help, he developed a series of hypnotherapy CDs and, more recently, made his sessions available to download to MP3 players.

It is just like having him with you, restructuring your thoughts and feelings about yourself and empowering you whenever you need the help.  Changing your mental image of yourself and the situations you find yourself, using hypnotherapy, is the first, completely safe step to increasing your self-esteem and living in a happy, fulfilled way.  Today is the first day of the rest of your life and the rest of your life can be a happy one.
