It may sound like a strange statement to make, but it is true. Your subconscious mind protects you and by doing so it can settle you into harmful behavioural patterns. To understand this you need to understand how your subconscious mind works.
The job of your subconscious mind is to protect you, no matter what, even if it has to lie to you. What it does is protect you by clamping down on emotions that can be overwhelming.
So what do you have to do to force your subconscious mind to protect you from living with negative behavioural patterns and doing things that actually harm you?
Force change
Hypnosis is the answer; through hypnosis you give your subconscious mind permission to let your conscious mind override it and make changes. Without hypnosis, your very powerful subconscious mind will not let the conscious make decisions to change destructive behaviour. The subconscious mind will fight to “protect” you at all costs. You can do this in two ways.
You can either come to us for one-on-one hypnotherapy sessions or if possible make use of our self-help option through hypnosis MP3s and CDs. Hypnosis unlocks your unconscious mind, accessing the emotions attached to the addiction or destructive behaviour.
The conscious mind can then make the change. You no longer have to be afraid of risking exposure to success or getting rid of those cigarettes you used as a comfort blanket during times of stress.
With hypnosis, we do not change the events that have lead to your unwanted behaviour. What we do is to change how you feel about what happened and teach you to let your conscious mind make the decisions.
