Many people think that there weren’t hypnotised, but they were. Such is the power of our subconscious mind at taking suggestions while we remain fully conscious and fully in control.
Yet many still believe that in order to by hypnotised one has to be completely unconscious and unaware of what you are doing, this is nothing but hype. The truth is that you are not in a trance nor are you unconscious, you are actually in a deep state of relaxation that makes the mind highly focused and ready to accept the suggestions that are needed to accomplish your goals.
However, hypnosis does not help everyone because the attitude of those being hypnotised is important for the process to work in their favour. The power of hypnosis lies in the patient more than the hypnotist or the hypnotherapy CD.
This is not saying that hypnosis can make people do whatever it is you want them to; all it can do is help people affect the changes they desire. In those instances where people do not believe they have been hypnotised, the best proof is when they achieve their goals, however, there are some who do require more than one session if they don’t reach their goal after the first try.
Hypnosis is the embodiment of mind and body medicine as the mind has the power to tell the body how to react and it has the power to modify messages that are sent from the body to the mind. It has even been used in dentistry help patient undergoing during root canal treatment with no anaesthetic.
