So many misconceptions float around about exactly how hypnosis works and how it is able to help so many people. The biggest culprits that lead to all the myths and false impressions about hypnosis are most definitely TV and stage shows. For years, they have shown people the scary and funny things hypnosis is supposed to be able to do.
People have fallen into the trap of believing all the hype. Hypnosis is a tool that unlocks the subconscious mind. Think of the human brain as an organic computer. This computer sometimes becomes programmed with viruses in the form of phobias, trauma, shock, bad habits and illness.
What hypnosis does is act as a virus killer and get to the root of the problems. So think of hypnosis as the anti-virus program for the human subconscious.
Reprogram for health and quality of life
What hypnosis does is once the subconscious is unlocked and the bad programming has been exposed, it starts reprogramming the mind. It makes the mind look at, deal with and discard the bad habits, trauma and phobias. This is done through suggestion; showing and telling the mind that there is no longer any need to dwell on the bad things that happened.
It suggests to the mind that the fears are no longer
